I'm a science and journalism-trained digital producer and journalist, currently developing a series - 'Wild Society' - which looks at social evolution and how misunderstandings of science - especially 'survival of the fittest' and 'genetic determinism' - are being exploited to support the status quo. Though broader, the project covers a lot of issues relevant to the COVID crisis. Chief amongst these is the issue of financial stress as a risk factor.
